McClain Insurance Services again had the privilege of serving as a “Stuff the Bus” drop-off location for backpacks and school supplies in time for school this year. “Stuff the Bus” is a program managed by the Everett Public Schools Foundation and supported by numerous local partners and volunteers, including McClain Insurance Services.
The program provides new backpacks and a full set of school supplies for students in need across the 16 Everett public schools and across all grade levels. Local families in need have the opportunity to register for a free new backpack and full set of school supplies. Then, during the summer, donations are collected at various locations in town, and delivered to a warehouse where they are sorted and packed into backpacks.
Just in time for the first day of school, the stuffed backpacks are delivered to local schools, where registered students can select their style and color of choice.
Every year, approximately 1,700 children and teens benefit from a great start back to school thanks to the “Stuff the Bus” program.
Claudia McClain has served on the Everett Public Schools Foundations Board of Directors for over seven years, and McClain Insurance has been a proud supporter of the “Stuff the Bus” program.
